Pierced Rock Press is looking for sponsors to help fund the publication of its first book titled ‘’The Pride of An African Migrant: In Remembrance of Jimmy Mubenga, a Martyr of Globalisation, Murdered by the UK Border Regime, on a British Airways Flight to Angola’’ by Massocki Ma Massocki, a Cameroonian activist and columnist.
The Pride of an African Migrant is a political memoir in remembrance of Jimmy Mubenga, an African asylum seekers who was tortured and killed by the UK border regime at Heathrow airport in London for resisting his deportation.
The book provides a lens to the panorama of the lives of African migrants in Europe, particularly that of African asylum seekers in the UK and outlines the barbaric acts of torture that African asylum seekers are subjected to in the UK.
The total cost of publication is ten thousand US Dollars including Copy-editing and proofreading, cover design and typesetting, publicity and marketing, printing and distribution.
In return of sponsorships, we are offering multiple advertising opportunities: you will be properly acknowledged in our book and websites.
Revenues made through book sales will be used to support ‘Pierced Rock Foundation’, a nongovernmental organization headquartered in Cameroon, committed to reducing the instances of immigration of Africans to a location or country that is outside their continent, which costs Africa thousands of lives each year.
